1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of DriveBW. By downloading, opening,
purchasing through, or using DriveBW, you agree to these Terms and the DriveBW Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of DriveBW
DriveBW is an independent educational application designed to help users prepare for Botswana
driving licence theory tests. Features may include study notes, section quizzes, mock tests,
answer review, progress tracking, booking guidance, advertising-supported access, offline access,
and paid Premium access.
DriveBW is provided for learning and practice only. It is not an official examination, licence,
legal qualification, driving-school certificate, or guarantee that you will pass an official test.
3. No Government Affiliation
DriveBW is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, sponsored by, or connected to the
Government of Botswana, the Department of Road Transport and Safety (DRTS), or any other government entity.
Users must rely on official government sources for current rules, fees, eligibility requirements,
booking procedures, and licence information.
4. Free Access and Advertising
The free version of DriveBW is supported by advertising. Ads may include banner, interstitial,
rewarded, or other formats provided by Google AdMob or its advertising partners.
- Some free mock tests may require an internet connection and successful completion of a rewarded advertisement before the test begins.
- If a required rewarded advertisement cannot be loaded or is closed before completion, access to that free mock test may remain unavailable.
- Free quizzes, notes, and other features may require an internet connection or may be subject to reasonable offline-use, cooldown, session, or frequency limits.
- DriveBW may allow access to certain free features when a non-rewarded advertisement cannot be served, but this is not guaranteed.
- Ads may appear before, during, or after free content, subject to applicable law and platform policy.
DriveBW does not control every advertisement shown and does not endorse products or services merely
because an advertisement appears in the app. Advertising availability, content, and frequency may vary.
5. Premium and Paid Products
DriveBW may offer a one-time non-consumable product known as Lifetime Premium, legacy subscriptions,
promotional access, or other paid products. The exact product, price, currency, benefits, and billing
terms shown in the app store or purchase screen at the time of purchase form part of these Terms.
Premium benefits may include:
- Removal of DriveBW-served banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements
- Access to mock tests without watching rewarded advertisements
- Expanded or unlimited access to quizzes, notes, mock tests, and offline features
- Other benefits described in the app at the time of purchase
“Lifetime” means access for as long as DriveBW continues to make the applicable Premium service
available, the purchase remains valid, the app remains compatible with the relevant platform, and
the user complies with these Terms. It does not guarantee that DriveBW, every feature, or every
platform will operate for the purchaser's natural lifetime.
“Ad-free” means DriveBW will not intentionally serve its normal third-party advertising placements
to an active Premium user. It does not apply to store notices, external websites, third-party content,
or promotional material that is not an AdMob advertisement served by DriveBW.
6. Billing, Renewals, Cancellation, and Refunds
Purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store, not directly by DriveBW. You agree to the
billing terms of the store through which the purchase is made.
- A one-time Lifetime Premium purchase is non-recurring and does not automatically renew.
- Any legacy subscription renews, expires, or may be cancelled according to the terms shown by the relevant app store.
- Subscription cancellation normally stops future renewal and does not necessarily remove access before the end of the paid billing period.
- Refunds, reversals, chargebacks, and billing disputes are governed by Google Play or Apple App Store policies.
- Taxes, exchange rates, regional pricing, and payment availability may vary by country and store account.
7. Purchase Validation and Restoration
DriveBW uses RevenueCat and app-store records to validate purchases and determine whether Premium
access is active. You may be required to connect to the internet to purchase, restore, or refresh
entitlement status.
Purchases are normally tied to the Apple ID, Google account, store, platform, and transaction through
which they were made. Restore Purchase may require the same store account. Cross-platform transfer
between Android and iOS is not guaranteed unless DriveBW expressly confirms it in the app.
Premium access may be suspended or removed if a purchase is refunded, reversed, revoked, fraudulent,
invalid, expired, or no longer recognised by the relevant app store or RevenueCat.
8. Internet, Device, and Availability Requirements
Some DriveBW functions require internet access, a supported device, a compatible operating system,
functioning app-store services, advertising availability, or access to third-party servers.
You are responsible for your device, internet connection, mobile-data charges, app-store account,
and compatibility. DriveBW does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service.
9. Offline Use
Certain content may be available offline. Free offline access may be limited by time, feature,
session, device, or rolling-use allowance. Premium users may receive broader offline access, but
occasional online verification may still be required for purchase validation, updates, security,
or restoration.
Clearing app data, reinstalling the app, changing devices, changing store accounts, modifying the
device, or using unsupported software may reset or affect locally stored progress and access records.
10. Changes to Features and Prices
DriveBW may add, remove, replace, restrict, redesign, or discontinue features, content, advertising
placements, free-use allowances, Premium benefits, prices, or supported platforms where reasonably necessary.
Changes will not create recurring charges for a one-time purchase. Existing statutory rights and
valid app-store purchase rights remain subject to applicable law and platform rules.
11. User Licence
Subject to these Terms, DriveBW grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive,
non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control for personal educational purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, scrape, record, extract, publish, sell, license, or redistribute DriveBW content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass, modify, or create derivative works from the app, except where the law does not permit that restriction
- Bypass advertising, Premium, cooldown, offline-use, purchase, or access-control systems
- Use automated tools, bots, emulators, modified devices, scripts, or exploits to obtain unauthorised access or advertising rewards
- Interfere with the app, its servers, its advertising services, its purchase systems, or another user's access
- Use DriveBW for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or commercial-resale purposes
12. Intellectual Property
DriveBW's software, branding, layout, original questions, notes, images, explanations, databases,
and design elements are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No ownership rights are
transferred to you.
Certain educational concepts may be informed by official or publicly available driving materials,
including materials associated with Botswana driving education. Any permissions, acknowledgements,
or third-party rights remain subject to their applicable terms. Users may not copy or reuse DriveBW
content without permission.
13. Accuracy and Educational Disclaimer
We aim to provide helpful and accurate learning content, but laws, road rules, official procedures,
examination standards, prices, and government information may change. DriveBW does not guarantee that
every question, answer, note, link, score, or simulation is complete, error-free, current, or identical
to an official examination.
Always consult official government publications and qualified driving instructors. You remain fully
responsible for lawful, safe driving and compliance with road-traffic laws.
14. Third-Party Services and Content
DriveBW relies on third-party services including Google AdMob, Google Play, Apple App Store,
RevenueCat, and external websites. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies,
availability, and technical requirements.
DriveBW is not responsible for third-party advertisements, purchases, websites, outages, decisions,
content, or services, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
15. Privacy
Use of DriveBW is also governed by the DriveBW Privacy Policy. The free
version uses advertising services, and purchase validation uses app-store services and RevenueCat.
Review the Privacy Policy before using the app.
16. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, invalid
purchases, security risks, legal requirements, app-store action, intellectual-property violations,
or material breach of these Terms.
You may stop using DriveBW at any time. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active
app-store subscription; subscriptions must be managed through the relevant store account.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriveBW is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim
implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability,
non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation, except where such warranties cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriveBW and its operator will not be liable for indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic loss arising from use of or inability to
use the app, including failure to pass a test, loss of progress, lost data, lost opportunities,
advertising content, store decisions, or reliance on educational material.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under
applicable law.
19. Apple App Store Terms
For versions obtained through Apple's App Store, Apple's applicable Usage Rules and Standard Licensed
Application End User License Agreement may also apply to the extent required by Apple or not replaced
by a valid custom agreement.

21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when DriveBW's services, advertising, purchases, legal obligations, or
platform requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use after an
update means you accept the revised Terms, subject to any consent required by law.
22. Severability and No Waiver
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Botswana, subject to mandatory consumer rights that apply in
your country. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Botswana unless applicable law requires otherwise.
